Ice FUE hair transplant generally refers to keeping the grafts taken with the FUE technique in hair transplantation, at the appropriate temperature and in the appropriate liquid. The harvesting donor area and implanting stages used in surgery are no different from methods such as Sapphire FUE, FUE, 3D FUE.
In traditional hair transplantation, the grafts were kept in liquids with normal pH after being taken from the donor area, standard temperature etc. values were not checked. Studies have shown that the survival rate of the grafts decreases with the waiting time outside the body at inappropriate temperatures, and therefore the success rate of hair transplantation results is low.
In the ICE FUE hair transplantation technique, the grafts taken from the donor area with the help of a micro-motor are collected one by one and separated by the technicians according to the number of hair follicles. All methods up to this point are the same as the FUE method. In the ICE FUE technique, these grafts are placed in special petri dishes containing physiological fluids whose temperature values are constantly controlled and whose mineral values are closest to the pH of body fluids. By ensuring that the grafts remain in this fluid from the time they are taken until their transplantation, their chances of survival are greatly increased.
All patients who want to have a hair transplant are suitable candidates for the ICE FUE technique. Protecting the grafts in this way will have a positive effect on the long-term results.
ICE FUE Hair Transplantation is not a new technique, it is a procedure in which the fluid in which the grafts are kept has a standardization. It reduces the complications of surgery, increases the success of hair transplantation, and ensures that the patient is more satisfied with the result of hair transplantation.
